Teriyaki Chicken

I got this recipe from allrecipes.com and love it! It has replaced my old teriyaki chicken recipe, that’s for sure. I like to double the amount of sauce though, to give me enough to put over a lot of rice. I usually do whole chicken breasts in a 9×9 pan, baked in the oven, but today I was short on time, so I cut my chicken into bite-sized pieces and fried them. Once they were dry & thoroughly cooked, I added the already cooked sauce & simmered it until the rice was done.

Wait, is this a GF recipe? You must make very sure to use Tamari sauce and not regular soy sauce because it is made with wheat.
Other than that it looks great.

Yes, this most certainly is a GF recipe. You can get Soy Sauce that does not have wheat in it, you just need to read the labels. I've never tried it with tamari sauce though, not sure how that would chance the flavour.

could you substitute the sugar for splenda or another artificial sweetener. Yes, there are multiple gluten free soy sauce. Kikkoman has a gluten free and several others are made without wheat.

I think you could, Britany. I haven’t tried it, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
