Don’t they just melt your heart? Awww…here is a picture of my sweet little angels, after their bath, enjoying a nice cold Fudge Pop to end the day.
These fudge pops are super simple to make, but taste great! Since they use a package of instant pudding mix, the variety of flavours that you can make is vast! You can try pistachio, white chocolate, vanilla or butterscotch. If you don’t have the metabolism of a young child on a summer afternoon, you can use sugar-free pudding mix and Splenda to cut back on the calories.
These are a simple, no-bake summertime treat that the kids can help you make. They can help measure, mix & pour the frozen treats. After playing in the sandbox all afternoon, they can enjoy the fruits (or pops?) of their labour.
1 (4 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups milk
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ingredients.
2. Pour mixture into small plastic cups, or Popsicle molds if you have them, and place in the freezer.
3. When set (but not completely frozen- you need to check about 5-10 minutes once they have been in the freezer), place a wooden craft spoon into them.
4. Serve when frozen.
NOTE: If you are pouring the pops into 3 ounce Dixie cups, put the cups into a plastic container, put plastic wrap over the top of the container, and then poke the wooden sticks through the plastic. This helps hold the wooden sticks upright while the pops freeze.
