Well, it’s no secret, when the kids are home from school, schedules and routines change! In the two weeks that the kids have been out of school, I haven’t made it to one garage sale. That, however, doesn’t mean that I don’t make it to the thrift store!
We went out to visit family last week, and my husband and I left the kids with Grandma and went to the local thrift store. I actually managed to find a few things, but this is the one I’m the most excited about.
A beautiful metal red tool box for $1! I had seen one being used as a planter on Pinterest, and have wanted one ever since. This one was perfect! And I got the flowers for half price, since it’s end of the buying season here. Now, I just need to fertilize them a bit to get them to fill out a bit. I have them hung on the fence in the backyard, and I’m pretty pleased, since it is a corner of the yard without any flowers. So, that’s my find this week…Did any of you have any great second-hand scores the past few weeks?
Oh, in other news…I have baby peas growing! Yeah!
They are growing in a container on the deck, so far they seem pretty happy.

Love the planter Jeanine. I need a few of those too. Your peas look promising, you should be eating them soon.
Thanks, Heather! I was so excited to find that tool box for $1, how can you go wrong??
Checked today and the peas are growing! The ones in a pot on the deck are growing faster than the ones in the garden. I blame the trees by the garden, they stunt the growth of anything near them.
