Gluten Free Magic Peanut Butter Middles
I know it’s not right to pick favorites. Each one should be loved for it’s different, individual qualities, right? But, I can’t help it. These cookies, with their creamy peanut buttery middle and yummy chocolate cookie coat are definitely my favorite cookies this week. Next week? Well, it might be something else. But for today, definitely these. I love how these cookies look a little fancy, but are super simple to make. They really are like magic, the shape that they take, and the way the peanut butter is nicely in the middle It reminds me of the mystery around … Continue reading →
Gluten Free Lime Meltaways
I hope you’re enjoying cookie week! If you have tried either the Thin & Crisp Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, Soft Ginger Cookies, or Pumpkin Snickerdoodles, please leave a comment saying how they worked for you, and if you made any changes to the recipe. Today’s recipe is one that I first printed out about 5 years ago. I came across it on the Martha Stewart website, but when it came time to actually bake, this cookie didn’t get made. I found them again on Closet Cooking and I’m glad that I finally got around to making them though, they have … Continue reading →

Soft Gluten-Free Ginger Cookies
Cookie baking continues! Today’s recipe is for soft gluten-free ginger cookies. These cookies are a favorite of my families, and I like that because they are quick, easy & cheap to make. All good things in my books. These cookies do taste better the second day, I think all spicy cookies taste better when they have had a chance to sit a bit and let the spices do their thing.
This, Crisp Gluten-Free Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Only 13 days until Christmas! Holiday baking is happening! This week The Baking Beauties will be posting cookie recipes everyday to help get you going in the kitchen. Today’s recipe is for a thin, crisp gluten-free chocolate chip cookie. I do have a soft oatmeal chocolate chip cookie that I love, but sometimes, you want something with some crunch to it. That is where this cookie comes in. On another note, you could exclude the chocolate chips, and have just a great crisp oatmeal cookie. Looking for more Gluten-Free Christmas recipes? Autumn Baked Oatmeal
When the cooler temperatures hit us, I like to change up our breakfasts. Instead of cereal and cold milk, it is nice to have a nice warm, stick-to-your-ribs breakfast. Baked oatmeal fits the bill when it comes to that. If you or your family does not like cooked oatmeal, be sure to give baked oatmeal a try, it has a completely different texture. This baked oatmeal includes all the wonderful flavours of Fall. Pumpkin, maple syrup, pecans, apples, cranberries and spices. I love that it can be baked the day before and just reheated in the microwave for a few … Continue reading →
Gluten-Free Chocolate Kahlua Cheesecake Blondies
First off, I want to say THANK YOU to all of you that entered the giveaway for Elana Amsterdam’s new cookbook “Gluten-Free Cupcakes”. The winner has been picked, and I have emailed them. You can check to see who the winner is HERE. Now, onto something totally decadent, sinfully delicious, and ready to eat in 1 hour. Yeah, that’s the dangerous part, isn’t it? When it can be ready to eat in such a short time? These blondies are full of so many amazing flavours, it’s hard to know where to start. There is chocolate. There is cheesecake. There is … Continue reading →
Gluten-Free Cream Cheese and Peanut Butter Oat Bars
This is the last of the recipes that I submitted to the Real Women of Philadelphia Contest. Phew! After this week, we will return to our regular programming, of more great gluten-free recipes, some reviews and yes, even a giveaway! Time to celebrate summer (and the fact that the postal workers aren’t on strike anymore), so look for that early next week. Thanks again to everyone that encouraged me to become part of this contest, it really made me learn a lot of things about myself (like the fact that I prefer to make desserts over appetizers, entrees or side … Continue reading →
Gluten-Free Apple Crisp Pizza
This recipe…wow. I thought that if none of the other recipes would get me a finalist spot in the Real Women of Philadelphia contest, that this recipe would secure me a spot. Even though no finalist spot was to be had by me, it is a FANTASTIC recipe! What a great combination of flavours and textures. It is like having a cookie pizza, apple dip, and apple crisp all in one dish. Now, I admit, if I were to rework this recipe, I would do things differently, to get a crisper cookie. So, if you are feeling adventurous… I would … Continue reading →
Gluten Free Cream Cheese Black Forest Brownies
Oh, so yummy!! This dessert was another of my entries for the Real Women of Philadelphia contest I entered lately, and it was ready to eat in 1 hour. The dense brownie, topped with a sweet cream cheese layer, and then these beautiful big Bing cherries that were cooked into a pie filling…oh my goodness! Those Bing cherries were worth it all by themselves! The cake portion can easily be doubled and baked in a 9″x13″ pan, and the single recipe of the cherry pie filling will be enough for the 9×13-inch pan. Depending on how much cherry pie filling … Continue reading →
