Summer isn’t gone yet! At least I haven’t posted all my summertime recipes yet, so the season can’t be done yet. This sorbet was simple to make, had only a few ingredients, but tasted fantastic! Definitely a welcomed treat.

Caramel Macadamia Nut Ice Cream
Mmm…this ice cream ranks right up there with the Lemon Meringue ice cream I made a while back (which won me a contest, woohoo). It is smooth, creamy, but full of wonderful flavour. The caramel is a little difficult to work with, but once it is in the ice cream, it creates a beautiful ribbon [...]

Saskatoon Cheesecake Ice Cream
This is another ice cream recipe that I just came up with while playing around in the kitchen. I used Saskatoon berries, but you could use blueberries, strawberries, or cherries in place of the Saskatoon berries. This ice cream is rich & smooth, tasting just like your favorite cheesecake. I didn’t include graham wafer crumbs, [...]

Orange Sorbet
I am still in the testing faze with my little ice cream maker. Since I was going through so much cream (and that can’t be good for the hips), I decided to give this sorbet a try. The flavour was unbelievable. It was so crisp, tangy, sweet, and well…orange. It definitely hit the spot on [...]

Lemon Meringue Ice Cream
Who doesn’t love lemon meringue pie? Well…I’m not that keen of it. Don’t get me wrong, I like the lemon filling, I’m just not a fan of pie crust. It’s merely a vehicle for the pie filling, right?? But, I do love Lemon Meringue Ice Cream. This Lemon Meringue Ice Cream is so creamy and [...]

Old-Fashioned Vanilla Ice Cream
I love ice cream. What’s not to love? It is a nice sweet, cool treat, that isn’t too heavy, but can be created in an array of palate pleasing flavours. Pure pleasure. When I was diagnosed with celiacs disease, I was rather surprised to read that many ice creams contained wheat. Ugh, how could that [...]

Cool off with Frozen Fudge Pops
Don’t they just melt your heart? Awww…here is a picture of my sweet little angels, after their bath, enjoying a nice cold Fudge Pop to end the day. These fudge pops are super simple to make, but taste great! Since they use a package of instant pudding mix, the variety of flavours that you can [...]

Homemade ‘Magic Shell’ Ice Cream Topping
Why pay the high prices at the grocery store when you can make your own hardening chocolate ice cream topping at home. It only takes a few minutes, with ingredients that you already have on hand. A nice little treat for those hot summer nights. This amount made enough to top 4 ice creams for [...]
